Voice Cloning Terms

These terms cover one specific thing: the voice cloning feature inside SoulPower. They sit alongside our Terms of Use and Privacy Policy, and they are operated by RUDDY MARKETING INC. ("we," "us," or "our").

We have written this in plain language, because a document about your voice should be one you can actually read.

The short version

You record about 30 seconds of your voice. We use it to build a voice model that belongs to your account and nobody else's. We use that model for one purpose: to read your own manifestations back to you inside the app. You can delete it at any time, and we will not use it for anything you did not ask for.

Everything below is the detail.

1. Your consent

Creating a voice clone requires your explicit, informed consent. You give it by recording your sample and continuing through the voice setup screens, where this is stated clearly before you record.

Your voice recording and the model built from it may be treated as biometric information under the laws of some states and countries. We ask for your permission before we collect it, we tell you what we do with it, and we honor your decision to withdraw that permission.

You can withdraw consent at any time by deleting your voice in the app. See section 7.

2. It has to be your own voice

You may only record and clone your own voice.

You agree that you will not record, upload, or attempt to clone the voice of any other person, living or deceased, including public figures, family members, and friends. You are responsible for the recording you submit.

If we have a good faith reason to believe a voice was submitted without the speaker's permission, we may remove the voice model and the associated audio, and we may suspend the account.

You also agree not to use your clone, or the audio SoulPower generates, to impersonate anyone, to deceive or defraud, to harass, to create content that misleads people about who is speaking, or for anything unlawful.

Our voice technology providers require us to hold all necessary rights to every voice we submit to them, and they apply their own prohibited use policies. Your agreement to these terms is what gives us those rights, which is why this page exists.

3. You must be 18 or older to create a voice clone

SoulPower's voice cloning feature is available only to users who are 18 or older. Do not create a voice clone for or on behalf of a child.

4. What you are giving us permission to do

By creating a voice clone, you grant us a limited, revocable, non-exclusive license to process your voice recording for one purpose: generating personalized audio for you, inside your account.

That is the whole of it. This license exists so we can technically operate the feature. It ends when you delete your voice.

5. What we do with your voice

  • We build a voice model trained only on your recording. It is tied to your account.
  • We generate your manifestations, your Morning Rise messages, and your other session audio in that voice, for you.
  • We cache the audio we generate for you so it plays instantly and so we are not regenerating the same audio repeatedly.
  • We use specialist voice technology providers to do the actual synthesis. Today those are Speechify and ElevenLabs. They process your voice only on our instructions, only to deliver the feature, and under contractual obligations consistent with our Privacy Policy. If we change providers, this page will be updated.
  • Your voice model is encrypted in transit and at rest.

6. What we never do

  • We never use your voice to train any model that is shared with other users or with anyone else.
  • We never sell, rent, or license your voice or your voice model.
  • We never make your voice available to another SoulPower user.
  • We never use your voice for advertising, marketing, or any public-facing content.
  • We never use your voice to say anything you did not ask the app to generate.

7. Deleting your voice, and what happens when you do

You can delete your voice from inside the app at any time.

When you do:

  • The voice model is deleted from our systems and from our voice technology providers.
  • Your original recording is deleted.
  • Audio already generated in your voice is deleted with it.
  • This happens within 30 days.

Deletion is permanent. Once the model is gone we cannot rebuild it from anything we hold. If you want your voice back, you record a new sample and we build a new model.

Deleting your entire SoulPower account deletes your voice along with everything else.

8. Fair use limits

Building and running a voice model has a real cost for us on every single user, so the feature carries some limits:

  • One active voice model per account.
  • Re-recording is available to subscribers, and is limited to once every 30 days.
  • We may adjust these limits over time. If we tighten them in a way that affects you, we will tell you first.

9. The audio the app creates for you

The manifestations, messages, and sessions SoulPower generates in your voice are for your personal, non-commercial use.

You may listen to them, keep them, and use them as part of your own practice. You may not resell them, publish them as your own product, or present SoulPower's generated audio as a commercial voice-over service.

The scripts, structure, and underlying content remain ours. Your voice remains yours.

10. What we cannot promise

Voice cloning is a young technology. The clone will sound like you, but it will not be indistinguishable from you, and quality depends on your recording conditions, your microphone, and factors outside our control.

We provide the feature as is. We do not guarantee a specific level of resemblance.

11. If something goes wrong

If you believe your voice has been cloned without your permission, or that something has gone wrong with your voice data, email us at support@soulpower.app and we will investigate promptly. We would genuinely rather hear from you than not.

12. Changes to these terms

If we change how voice cloning works in a way that affects your rights or your data, we will update this page and notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
